The JCB Heritage Border Spade, JCBHBS01 is fitted with a durable shaft made from varnished ash, which has been riveted just below its handle to add extra strength to cope with the demands of prolonged use.
Designed to be driven through thick soil with ease, our heritage border spade uses a single piece solid forged head made from hardened and tempered high carbon steel - perfect for carrying out heavy-duty digging tasks.
As this is a border spade, the JCBHBS01 has a narrower design compared to traditional garden spades, making it lighter and easier to carry around the garden without compromising on strength and efficiency.
To withstand greater force in weakened areas, its socket has been strengthened with extra-thick forgings.
Designed to be as practical as it is durable, our heritage border spade employs a varnished ash YD handle, which absorbs the strain of heavy labour - reducing fatigue and providing comfort in the process.
Built to last, and made for hard work, our border spade is load tested to exceed the BS3388 British Specification.
