Are JCB accessories compatible with other brands of power tools?
Yes. JCB drill bits fit standard keyless and keyed chucks. JCB grinding and cutting discs use M14 thread compatible with all standard angle grinders. Sanding sheets use standard 125mm hook-and-loop fitting. JCB saw blades are compatible with standard bore sizes.
How often should I replace cutting and grinding discs?
Replace discs when they become worn to the minimum safe diameter marked on the disc, show visible cracks or chips, vibrate abnormally during use, or fail to cut cleanly. Never use a disc past its minimum diameter marking.
What is the difference between cutting discs and grinding discs?
Cutting discs are thin — typically 1-3mm — designed to cut through material cleanly. Grinding discs are thicker — typically 6mm — designed for material removal and surface dressing. Never use a cutting disc for sideways grinding pressure; it can shatter.
