Drill Bits
JCB drill bits are engineered for clean, fast cutting in wood, metal, masonry and multi-purpose applications. The range covers standard masonry bits from 2.5mm to 13mm, multi-purpose drill bits for versatility across materials, and complete drill bit and accessory sets. All bits feature hardened steel construction and precision-ground cutting edges. Designed to work with JCB cordless drills and compatible with all standard SDS-plus and keyless chucks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of drill bit do I need for masonry and brick?
Use tungsten carbide-tipped masonry drill bits with a hammer drill set to hammer mode. Standard HSS bits will not penetrate masonry effectively and will blunt immediately. JCB masonry bits are available from 2.5mm to 13mm.
Can I use standard drill bits in an SDS drill?
No. SDS drills require SDS-shank bits which lock into the chuck differently. Standard round-shank drill bits cannot be used directly in an SDS chuck. You can use an SDS adaptor to use standard chucks in an SDS drill for non-hammer work.
How do I know when a drill bit needs replacing?
Replace drill bits when they require noticeably more pressure to cut, produce heat and burning smell during use, create rough or oversized holes, or show visible wear to the tip or cutting edges.
